The Mission
Raffles University AI Research Institute is envisioned to be a seedbed for high-impact research and development of AI technologies and applications. Furthermore, the successful commercialization of projects emerging from the institute, along with partnerships with Malaysian industry players, will potentially place both the institute and Raffles University on the global radar. As an R&D seedbed, the research institute can provide Malaysian companies direct visibility of up-and-coming AI technologies.
Our focus is on developing new solutions, conducting the research in the field of AI, and educating future generations of scientists and technologists. Working on numerous diverse projects, our researchers focus on discovering revolutionary ways to make machines smarter while providing an innovation space for Malaysian industry.
President Message
Raffles University researchers imagine and build the future by developing fundamentally new technologies and conducting research in the field of AI and its applications. We are working on numerous projects, ranging from theoretical foundations to the industry implementation of AI technologies. Raffles University AI research Institute is a community of inventive problem solvers. We support the careers of all our members, students, and faculty staff, emphasizing service, collegiality, mentorship, and self-improvement. We are rethinking our world using AI.
